Summary
MedCheck keeps medication schedules and photo confirmation history on your device. When you choose photo-based confirmation, the captured photo is sent through Supabase Edge Functions to OpenAI Vision only to check whether the medication is clearly visible. This is not medical proof of ingestion.
Data Collection
- No account or sign-up is required.
- Medication schedules, reminders, and photo confirmation history are stored locally on the device.
- For AI photo verification, the camera-captured proof photo is sent to Supabase Edge Functions and OpenAI Vision.
Purchases
MedCheck medication features are free and not gated by purchases. If optional support purchases are enabled later, Apple processes them.
Permissions
- Camera access is used for proof photos. The photo picker may be used only when you choose a prescription image for on-device OCR. Notifications are used for medication reminders.
Data Deletion
Uninstalling the app removes local app data from the device unless you add server sync or shared containers.
